What is happening with the VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel platform?
In 2026, Wolters Kluwer will retire the VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel platform and move corporate customers over to the flagship VitalLaw® platform. After migration, you can access your current content while also being able to take advantage of new features and functionality such as VitalLaw® AI Assistant.
When will the migration occur?
The migration of all customers to the VitalLaw® platform should be completed by March 31, 2026. Your Wolters Kluwer account manager will work with you to ensure that your migration occurs at the most convenient time for you.
Will I lose any content?
No, this is simply a streamlining of our platforms so that enhanced features and functionality can be made available to all customers as quickly as possible. All your current content is available on VitalLaw®.
Can I choose to stay on VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel?
No, the VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel platform will be retired on March 31, 2026.
Will my price change?
You can move your current subscription over to VitalLaw as is or take advantage of additional VitalLaw offerings; please discuss this with your Wolters Kluwer Account Manager.
Will I need training to get comfortable with the VitalLaw® platform?
Highly unlikely! VitalLaw® has the same look and feel as VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel, with individual Topic pages (called Practice Areas on VitalLaw ), primary source dashboards, search functionality, alerting, and customization options.
Where are my Topic pages on VitalLaw®?
On VitalLaw®, we organize this content into Practice Areas. You’ll see some slight differences in naming and layout, but all your content and tools from VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel are there.
Will my news alerts automatically transfer to VitalLaw?
No, you’ll need to sign up again for the news alerts that you want on Vitallaw®, but it’s easy!

Will my custom changes to dashboards and Saved Items (saved searches, folders, and favorites) automatically transfer to VitalLaw®?
No, you’ll need to recreate customized and saved items on VitalLaw® as well.

We set up Digital Rights Management (DRM) to allow members of our organization to access VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel content. Will our DRM connection transfer automatically to VitalLaw®?
No, since DRMs are set up in-house, you’ll need to change the link on your end. To switch the link to VitalLaw®, replace the VitalLaw® for Corporate Counsel URL link (corporate.vitallaw.com) with the VitalLaw® URL link (my.vitallaw.com) in your DRM setup.
Are there specific advantages to the VitalLaw® platform?
Yes! VitalLaw® AI Assistant is available only on the VitalLaw® platform and provides search results with concise, accurate AI answers with links to relevant source documents. AI Assistant – Conversational Chat also allows you to clarify complex legal concepts, uncover valuable connections between documents, and generate client-facing materials.
